about 120 miles (195 km) west-southwest of the Dry Tortugas

Movement: north-northeast at 13 m.p.h. (20 km/h)

Tropical Cyclone Mekunu (02A)

Position: Latitude 18.4°N  Longitude 53.2°E

about 50 miles (80 km) northwest of Ash Shisar, Oman

Movement: north at 8 m.p.h. (13 km/h)

Maximum sustained wind speed: 70 m.p.h. (110 km/h)  Gusts: 85 m.p.h. (135 km/h)

Minimum surface pressure: 976 mb
