{"id":1129,"date":"2015-07-10T03:56:54","date_gmt":"2015-07-10T03:56:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jayhobgood.com\/?p=1129"},"modified":"2015-07-10T03:56:54","modified_gmt":"2015-07-10T03:56:54","slug":"large-powerful-typhoon-chan-hom-heading-for-northeastern-china","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jayhobgood.com\/?p=1129","title":{"rendered":"Large Powerful Typhoon Chan-hom Heading for Northeastern China"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Large and powerful Typhoon Chan-hom passed south of Okinawa and headed for northeastern China on Thursday.\u00a0 At 11:00 p.m. EDT on Thursday the center of Typhoon Chan-hom was located at latitude 25.9\u00b0N and longitude 125.0\u00b0E which put it about 155 miles (250 km) west-southwest of Okinawa and about 400 miles (640 km) south-southeast of Shanghai, China.\u00a0 Chan-hom was moving toward the west-northwest at 13 m.p.h. (20 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 140 m.p.h. (225 km\/h) and there were gusts to 165 m.p.h.
