{"id":1237,"date":"2015-08-03T03:31:38","date_gmt":"2015-08-03T03:31:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jayhobgood.com\/?p=1237"},"modified":"2015-08-03T03:31:38","modified_gmt":"2015-08-03T03:31:38","slug":"hurricane-guillermo-weakening-as-it-moves-toward-hawaii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jayhobgood.com\/?p=1237","title":{"rendered":"Hurricane Guillermo Weakening As It Moves Toward Hawaii"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A reconnaissance aircraft confirmed a weakening trend in Hurricane Guillermo that had been suggested by satellite imagery.\u00a0 At 11:00 p.m. EDT on Sunday the center of Hurricane Guillermo was located at latitude 15.5\u00b0N and longitude 145.0\u00b0W which put it about 725 miles (1165 km) east-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii.\u00a0 Guillermo was moving toward the west-northwest at 10 m.p.h. (16 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 85 m.p.h. (145 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 100 m.p.h.
