{"id":1278,"date":"2015-08-07T22:37:57","date_gmt":"2015-08-07T22:37:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jayhobgood.com\/?p=1278"},"modified":"2015-08-07T22:37:57","modified_gmt":"2015-08-07T22:37:57","slug":"tiny-hilda-intensifies-into-a-hurricane","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jayhobgood.com\/?p=1278","title":{"rendered":"Tiny Hilda Intensifies Into a Hurricane"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After not changing much during the overnight hours, Hilda intensified rapidly into a hurricane on Friday afternoon.\u00a0 At 5:00 p.m. EDT on Friday the center of Hurricane Hilda was located at latitude 12.8\u00b0N and longitude 138.3\u00b0W which put it about 1215 miles (1950 km) east-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii.\u00a0 Hilda was moving toward the wet at 15 m.p.h. (24 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 80 m.p.h. (130 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 90 m.p.h.
