{"id":1447,"date":"2015-08-27T03:42:21","date_gmt":"2015-08-27T03:42:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jayhobgood.com\/?p=1447"},"modified":"2015-08-27T03:42:21","modified_gmt":"2015-08-27T03:42:21","slug":"ignacio-becomes-a-hurricane","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jayhobgood.com\/?p=1447","title":{"rendered":"Ignacio Becomes a Hurricane"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The core of Tropical Storm Ignacio organized rapidly on Wednesday and it was upgraded to hurricane status by the National Hurricane Center.\u00a0 At 11:00 p.m. EDT on Wednesday the center of Hurricane Ignacio was located at latitude 12.2\u00b0N and longitude 137.5\u00b0W which put it about 1275 miles (2055 km) east-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii.\u00a0 Ignacio was moving toward the west-northwest at 17 m.p.h. (28 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 75 m.p.h. (120 km\/h) and there were gusts to 90 m.p.h.
