The risk posed by Hurricane Ernesto prompted the issuance of a Hurricane Watch for Bermuda.\u00a0 At 11:00 p.m. EDT on Wednesday the center of Hurricane Ernesto was located at latitude 23.0\u00b0N and longitude 68.9\u00b0W which put the center about 690 miles (1110 km) south-southwest of Bermuda.\u00a0 Ernesto was moving toward the north-northwest at 16 m.p.h. (26 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 80 m.p.h. (130 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 95 m.p.h. (150 km\/h).\u00a0 The minimum surface pressure was 982 mb.<\/p>\n
