A low pressure system over the southwestern Gulf of Mexico was designated as Potential Tropical Cyclone Six by the U.S. National Hurricane Center on Sunday afternoon.\u00a0 A Tropical Storm Watch was issued for the coast of northern Mexico.\u00a0 At 5:00 p.m. EDT on Sunday the center of Potential Tropical Cyclone Six located at latitude 21.6\u00b0N and longitude 94.6\u00b0W which put the center about 340 miles (545 km) south-southeast of the Mouth of the Rio Grande River.\u00a0 The low pressure system was moving toward the northwest at 5 m.p.h. (8 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 50 m.p.h. (80 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 60 m.p.h. (95 km\/h).\u00a0 The minimum surface pressure was 1003 mb.<\/p>\n
