{"id":21660,"date":"2024-11-18T16:01:11","date_gmt":"2024-11-18T16:01:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jayhobgood.com\/?p=21660"},"modified":"2024-11-18T16:01:11","modified_gmt":"2024-11-18T16:01:11","slug":"man-yi-weakens-to-a-tropical-storm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jayhobgood.com\/?p=21660","title":{"rendered":"Man-yi Weakens to a Tropical Storm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former Typhoon Man-yi weakened to a tropical storm over the South China Sea on Monday.\u00a0 At 10:00 a.m. EST on Monday the center of Tropical Storm Man-yi was located at latitude 18.6\u00b0N and longitude 115.4\u00b0E which put the center about 280 miles (450 km) south-southeast of Hong Kong.\u00a0 Man-yi was moving toward the west-northwest at 10 m.p.h. (16 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 65 m.p.h. (105 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 80 m.p.h.
