Tropical Cyclone Sean intensified to the equivalent of a hurricane\/typhoon near the coast of Western Australia on Sunday.\u00a0 At 10:00 a.m. EST on Sunday the center of Tropical Cyclone Sean was located at latitude 20.5\u00b0S and longitude 113.9\u00b0E which put the center about 125 miles (200 km) north of Exmouth, Australia. \u00a0 Sean was moving toward the west-southwest at 12 m.p.h. (19 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 75 m.p.h. (120 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 90 m.p.h. (145 km\/h).\u00a0\u00a0 The minimum surface pressure was 978 mb.<\/p>\n
