Tropical Cyclone Alfred lingered over the Coral Sea east of Australia on Monday.\u00a0 At 10:00 p.m. EST on Monday the center of Tropical Cyclone Alfred was located at latitude 27.3\u00b0S and longitude 158.8\u00b0E which put the center about 370 miles (595 km) east of Brisbane, Australia. \u00a0 Alfred was moving toward the southeast at 6 m.p.h. (10 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 65 m.p.h. (105 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 80 m.p.h. (130 km\/h).\u00a0 The minimum surface pressure was 983 mb.<\/p>\n
