Tropical Cyclone Alfred started to move toward the east coast of Australia on Tuesday.\u00a0 The Australian Bureau of Meteorology issued a Warning for a portion of the coast.\u00a0 At 10:00 a.m. EST on Tuesday the center of Tropical Cyclone Alfred was located at latitude 27.8\u00b0S and longitude 158.2\u00b0E which put the center about 335 miles (540 km) east of Brisbane, Australia. \u00a0 Alfred was moving toward the west at 7 m.p.h. (11 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 65 m.p.h. (105 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 80 m.p.h. (130 km\/h).\u00a0 The minimum surface pressure was 981 mb.<\/p>\n
