Tropical Storm Wutip made landfall on the coast of southern China near Lianjiang on Friday night.\u00a0 At 5:00 a.m. EDT on Saturday the center of Tropical Storm Wutip was located at latitude 21.7\u00b0N and longitude 110.3\u00b0E which put the center about 15 miles (25 km) southwest of Lianjiang, China.\u00a0 Wutip was moving toward the northeast at 13 m.p.h. (21 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 65 m.p.h. (105 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 80 m.p.h. (130 km\/h).\u00a0 The minimum surface pressure was 985 mb.<\/p>\n
