Tropical Storm Erick strengthened on Tuesday as it moved over the Eastern North Pacific Ocean south of Mexico.\u00a0 At 11:00 p.m. EDT on Tuesday the center of Tropical Storm Erick was located at latitude 13.1\u00b0N and longitude 94.9\u00b0W which put the center about 330 miles (535 km) southeast of Punta Maldonado, Mexico.\u00a0 Erick was moving toward the northwest at 7 m.p.h. (11 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 60 m.p.h. (95 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 75 m.p.h. (120 km\/h).\u00a0 The minimum surface pressure was 998 mb.<\/p>\n
