Tropical Storm Wipha brought wind and rain to northern Vietnam on Monday.\u00a0 At 5:00 p.m. EDT on Monday the center of Tropical Storm Wipha was located at latitude 20.8\u00b0N and longitude 107.2\u00b0E which put the center about 30 miles (50 km) east of Haiphong, Vietnam.\u00a0 Wipha was moving toward the west-southwest at 8 m.p.h. (13 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 60 m.p.h. (95 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 75 m.p.h. (120 km\/h).\u00a0 The minimum surface pressure was 984 mb.<\/p>\n

Tropical Storm Wipha will weaken gradually as it moves across northern Vietnam.\u00a0 Wipha will weaken to a tropical depression on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
