A Tropical Low over the Coral Sea prompted the Australian Bureau of Meteorology to issue a Warning for the coast of Queensland on Thursday night.\u00a0 At 7:00 a.m. EST on Friday the center of the Tropical Low was located at latitude 14.9\u00b0S and longitude 148.1\u00b0E which put the center about 210 miles (335 km) northeast of the Cairns, Australia.\u00a0 The Tropical Low was moving toward the south-southwest at 4 m.p.h. (6 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 40 m.p.h. (65 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 50 m.p.h. (80 km\/h).\u00a0 The minimum surface pressure was 995 mb.<\/p>\n
