Tropical Storm Jangmi continued to intensify over the Western North Pacific Ocean on Friday.\u00a0 At 5:00 p.m. EDT on Friday the center of Tropical Storm Jangmi was located at latitude 17.0\u00b0N and longitude 130.4\u00b0E which put the center about 705 miles (1135 km) south-southeast of Okinawa.\u00a0 Jangmi was moving toward the west-northwest at 12 m.p.h. (19 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 60 m.p.h. (95 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 75 m.p.h. (120 km\/h).\u00a0 The minimum surface pressure was 989 mb.<\/p>\n
