{"id":25026,"date":"2026-08-22T18:22:06","date_gmt":"2026-08-22T18:22:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jayhobgood.com\/?p=25026"},"modified":"2026-08-22T18:22:06","modified_gmt":"2026-08-22T18:22:06","slug":"typhoon-saudel-strengthens-to-equivalent-of-a-major-hurricane","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jayhobgood.com\/?p=25026","title":{"rendered":"Typhoon Saudel Strengthens to Equivalent of a Major Hurricane"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Typhoon Saudel strengthened to the equivalent of a major hurricane on Saturday at it moved west of the Marianas.\u00a0 At 11:00 a.m. EDT on Saturday the center of Typhoon Saudel was located at latitude 20.0\u00b0N and longitude 144.2\u00b0E which put the center about 80 miles (130 km) west of Agrihan.\u00a0 Saudel was moving toward the northwest at 14 m.p.h. (22 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 120 m.p.h. (195 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 150 m.p.h.
