Tropical Storm Edouard developed over the northern Gulf of Mexico south of Louisiana on Monday evening.\u00a0 At 8:00 p.m. EDT on Monday the center of Tropical Storm Edouard was located at latitude 28.4\u00b0N and longitude 91.6\u00b0W which put the center about 140 miles (225 km) southeast of Cameron, Louisiana.\u00a0 Edouard was moving toward the west-northwest at 6 m.p.h. (10 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 40 m.p.h. (65 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 50 m.p.h. (65 km\/h).\u00a0 The minimum surface pressure was 1010 mb.<\/p>\n
