Tropical Storm Edouard moved over southeast Texas near Port Arthur on Tuesday afternoon.\u00a0 At 5:00 p.m. EDT on Tuesday the center of Tropical Storm Edouard was located at latitude 29.9\u00b0N and longitude 94.0\u00b0W which put the center about 5 miles (10 km) west of Port Arthur, Texas.\u00a0 Edouard was moving toward the northwest at 7 m.p.h. (11 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 50 m.p.h. (80 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 65 m.p.h. (105 km\/h).\u00a0 The minimum surface pressure was 998 mb.<\/p>\n

A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for the portion of the coast from Port Bolivar, Texas to the Vermilion\/Cameron Parish Line in Louisiana.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The center of Tropical Storm Edouard moved inland near Port Arthur, Texas on Tuesday afternoon.\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 60 m.p.h. (95 km\/h) at the time of landfall.<\/p>\n

Tropical Storm Edouard will move around the southwestern part of a high pressure system that is over the Southeast U.S.\u00a0 The high pressure system will steer Edouard toward the northwest during the next 24 hours.\u00a0 On its anticipated track, Tropical Storm Edouard will move inland over southeast Texas.<\/p>\n

Tropical Storm Arthur will bring strong winds and heavy rain to parts of southeast Texas.\u00a0 Heavy rain could cause flash floods in some locations.<\/p>\n
