Tropical Storm Pakhar sped across the South China Sea and made landfall on the coast of China near Macau.\u00a0 At 11:00 p.m. EDT on Saturday the center of Tropical Storm Pakhar was located at latitude 22.3\u00b0N and longitude 112.7\u00b0E which put it about 60 miles (95 km) southwest of Hong Kong.\u00a0 Pakhar was moving toward the northwest at 27 m.p.h. (43 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 65 m.p.h. (105 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 80 m.p.h. (130 km\/h).\u00a0 The minimum surface pressure was 987 mb.<\/p>\n
