{"id":6668,"date":"2018-09-16T22:03:41","date_gmt":"2018-09-16T22:03:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jayhobgood.com\/?p=6668"},"modified":"2018-09-16T22:03:41","modified_gmt":"2018-09-16T22:03:41","slug":"florence-still-producing-heavy-rain-and-floods-in-carolinas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jayhobgood.com\/?p=6668","title":{"rendered":"Florence Still Producing Heavy Rain and Floods in Carolinas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Although former Hurricane Florence weakened to a tropical depression on Sunday, it was still producing heavy rain and causing floods in portions of the Carolinas.\u00a0 At 5:00 p.m. EDT on Sunday the center of Tropical Depression Florence was located at latitude 34.6\u00b0N and longitude 82.2\u00b0W which put it about 25 miles (40 km) south-southeast of Greenville, South Carolina.\u00a0 Florence was moving toward the north at 14 m.p.h. (22 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 35 m.p.h. (55 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 45 m.p.h.
