{"id":9874,"date":"2020-07-25T21:48:32","date_gmt":"2020-07-25T21:48:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jayhobgood.com\/?p=9874"},"modified":"2020-07-25T21:53:15","modified_gmt":"2020-07-25T21:53:15","slug":"hurricane-douglas-prompts-hurricane-warning-for-oahu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jayhobgood.com\/?p=9874","title":{"rendered":"Hurricane Douglas Prompts Hurricane Warning for Oahu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The approach of Hurricane Douglas prompted the issuance of a Hurricane Warning for Oahu on Saturday afternoon.\u00a0 At 5:00 p.m. EDT on Saturday the center of Hurricane Douglas was located at latitude 19.5\u00b0N and 150.1\u00b0W which put it about 325 miles (525 km) east of Hilo, Hawaii.\u00a0 Douglas was moving toward the west-northwest at 18 m.p.h. (30 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 90 m.p.h. (150 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 110 m.p.h.
