Hurricane Douglas was passing just to the north of the Hawaiian Islands on Sunday night.\u00a0 At 11:00 p.m. EDT on Sunday night the center of Hurricane Douglas was located at latitude 22.0\u00b0N and longitude 157.3\u00b0W which put it about 60 miles (95 km) northeast of Honolulu, Hawaii.\u00a0 Douglas was moving toward the west-northwest at 16 m.p.h. (26 km\/h).\u00a0 The maximum sustained wind speed was 85 m.p.h. (135 km\/h) and there were wind gusts to 100 m.p.h. (160 km\/h).\u00a0 The minimum surface pressure was 989 mb.<\/p>\n
